Dr. Subash C K
Dr. Subash C K is a material scientist with a background in polymer science and technology. He joined as DST- Inspire faculty at Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences Bengaluru in 2021. His research is focused on materials for energy applications like piezoelectric, electrochromic, hydrogen evolution and storage; ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and contact electrification-based devices for sensors and energy harvesting; polymer nanocomposites, nanomaterials synthesis, super hydrophobic coatings and microscopic analysis for nanotechnology
Currently, his research group is working on nanomaterial synthesis for energy applications, piezoelectric polymer nanocomposite preparation, study on interactions of polymer and nanomaterials, fabrication of various piezoelectric energy harvesting and pressure sensing devices/ prototypes etc. They have published their research findings in several well recognized peer-reviewed international journals; the prototypes are exhibited at national level festivals and presented at different conferences.
Subash had his schooling and his early education from Malappuram, Kerala. He received his Master of Science (Technology) degree in polymer science and technology from the National Institute of Technology Calicut and He completed his doctoral degree from the School of Nano Science and Technology, NIT Calicut, He is having 4 years of teaching and postdoctoral experience from NIT Calicut and CeNS Bengaluru.
Apart from the research activities, he is an active resource person and teacher mentor for various science and technology classes and events organized by different schools and colleges.
