Ashutosh Kumar Singh
Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh is a material scientist specialized in synthesizing and designing nanomaterials for diverse applications such as energy conversion, storage, sensors, and optoelectronics. His expertise extends to translating cutting-edge research from the laboratory into practical prototypes and large-scale devices, fostering productive collaborations with industries. With a remarkable track record of closely partnering with various government and industry sectors, he excels in project development and establishing state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities.
Completing his B.Sc. at Hindu College, Delhi University in 2009, Dr. Singh pursued Integrated MSc-PhD from S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata, graduating in 2016. He then engaged in Postdoctoral Research at the Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences, Bangalore, from 2016 to 2017. Subsequently, he held the position of Project Scientist in an Industry-Academia Technology Project from 2017 to 2019 before assuming the role of Scientist at CeNS Bangalore in 2020.
His research focuses on advancing functional nanomaterials, smart coatings techniques, and their multifaceted applications, particularly in transparent electrodes, energy storage, and energy harvesting devices. Collaborating extensively with industries, Dr. Singh is involved in the development of various Energy Storage and Smart Window Technologies, prioritizing affordability and enhanced energy efficiency. Additionally, he holds a certification in “Six Sigma-Green Belt.”
