Prof. Mukund Thelakkat, Bavarian Centre for Battery Technology & Bavarian Polymer Institute, gave a special lecture on April 13, 2022. The title of the presentation was " Functional Polymers - Design, Architecture and Applications in  Solar cells, Biosensors and Batteries."  This lecture was one of the series of events at the Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS) to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence – Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava. The program began with a brief introduction to the speaker by Prof. G U Kulkarni, President,JNCASR.

Prof. Mukundan delivered a seminar on different polymer architectures and tuning the chemical structures to suit and fulfil the functions in diverse applications such as batteries, bio-electronics, etc. The structure-property relations of functional polymers and the importance of microstructure and morphology are explained in detail.
