CeNS practices an integrated approach to bridge the gap that often exists between industry and academia owing to the innate style of their functioning. This healthy trend initiated at the Centre is multi-pronged, and includes
- Encouraging Ph D students to take up research projects which could lead eventually to the development of prototype devices, reaching TRL levels of 3 or more.
- Showcasing the developed prototypes in a dedicated “Prototype Gallery” to facilitate active dialogue with industry visitors.
- Exhibit and demonstrate the prototypes at prestigious industry expos for attracting industrial attention.
This approach has already been quite fruitful yielding several collaborative projects, licensing and technology transfer activities.
