DST Nano Mission conducts Advanced Schools from time to time to educate and train young researchers in various interdisciplinary fields associated with Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (NS &NT). The themes of previous Schools conducted by DST Nanomission were ‘Nanomaterials Preparation, Characterization and Manipulation’, ‘Science of Size Reduction, Different Routes of Preparation and Characterization of Nanomaterials and Applications’, ‘Nanoscience & Nanobiology’ and ‘Advanced School on Nanobiotechnology’.
This year, Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences is entrusted with organizing the Nanomission School on NS&NT-Physical sciences. This School will be focusing on ‘Emerging Methods and Materials in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology’. Senior Ph.D students (in 3rd or 4th years of Ph.D), Postdoctoral fellows and Young faculty are invited to attend the School. Around 40 researchers will be selected to participate in the School.
Lectures on various current topics will be delivered through tutorials with lab demonstrations. Visits to clean room facility and incubation centre are organized.
