CeNS participated actively w ith stall exhibits and technical posters in the 11th Edition of BENGALURU I NDIA NANO held during 2-3, March 2020 at Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru.From the Ce ntre, 5 faculty members and 10 Ph. D. students participated in the event or ganized by the Dept. of IT, BT and S&T, Govt. of Karnataka in associati on with Karnataka’s Vision Group on Science and Technology. In the months l eading to the event, various faculty members and research scholars from CeN S were involved in a unique series of outreach programme, “Nano Jhatha”, or ganized by Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS), acr oss various parts of the country to educate the school and college students about Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

holars from Prof. G.U Kulkarni's group showcased their in-house inventions
translated to prototype 'Smart Windows' based on two different technology.
The ‘Smart Windows’ received high recognition from the industry and academi
c visitors, and NEWS articles regarding these protoypes were published in v
arious Newspapers and other media.
CeNS bagged the “Best Exhibitor A
ward for the Year 2020” in the category of Interactive and Best Managed Sta
ll. CeNS students also won two “Best Poster Awards”; Mr. Ramesh Chandra Sah
oo for his poster entitled “Role of Transition Metals in Layered Double Hyd
roxides for Differentiating the Oxygen Evolution and Nonenzymatic Glucose S
ensing" and Mr. Indrajit Mondal for his work titled "SnO2 coated large area
Aluminum micromesh as low-cost transparent conducting electrode for liquid
crystal-based smart window".
