X-EXTRAINFO:The study and understanding of order–disorder, solid–solid phase transition
s, is inextricably linked to theory & computer simulation. The latter bring
s insights and unique contributions to help rationalize the diversity exhib
ited by Nature. My talk will use examples ranging from the surprising behav
ior of small molecules to the exotic phases exhibited by macro molecules. I
will also highlight a number of experimental results that still require an
  explanation.
