 led “Liquid crystals: Science and Technology” were presented under V4 (ವಿಜ್
 ಞಾನಿ-ವಿಧ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ-ವಿಚಾರ-ವಿನಿಮಯ) program of CeNS by C. V. Yelamaggad on 08-09-
 2015 (Tuesday) at Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya (SJR) Education Society, Prima
 ry & High Schoo, Rajajinagar, Bangalore from 1-30 pm to 3-15 pm. Initially,
  Yelamaggad was welcomed by the Secretary, Principal, and other staff membe
 rs of the School. Before the presentation, the speaker explained about the 
 aims and objectives of the V4 program of CeNS. All the teaching staff appre
 ciated the program. They intended that their School children should visit t
 he Centre to understand how the research activities on nanomaterials and so
 ft matter are being carried. The speaker was introduced to audience (9th an
 d 10th standard students). The presentation covered the general perspective
  of liquid crystals, their importance and applications, their discovery, de
 finition and classification. The active participation of the student was qu
 ite apparent as many genuine and intelligent questions were asked to the sp
 eaker. During the demonstration, some representative students were particip
 ated. At the end of presentation, many students approached the speaker and 
 expressed their willingness to choose research as a career in science.\n\n\
